So one of the reasons I decided to begin a course in Interior Design was because I loved working on my own house renovation. After years of renting as an expat, we finally bought a house….and although it was a great house, the interior was not to my style at all and the layout needed a bit of work. We decided straight away that we would do a renovation to make it the house for us! I always thought that when it came down to it I would hire an Interior Designer to help me with EVERYTHING! Little did I know that I would enjoy it so much that I would do most of it myself. I’m talking room layouts, floor plans (involved knocking down quite a few walls and changing the layout of the first floor!) flooring, walls, colours, furniture, lighting etc! Of course all done supported by great contractors, plumbers, electricians, carpenters and decorators! I loved it all! I think now, with the knowledge that I have from the course, I could do an even better job! You have to start somewhere so they say! Here are a few before and after shots.

Ok! That’s it for now! I have to say I really loved transforming this house into a home that works for me and my family. I hope that I can do the same one day, professionally, for others!
