What’s On Your Walls?

Ok, so I am a bit behind the times but “what’s on your wall” was the WordPress Daily Prompt the other day and I never got around to writing about it!  In particular, I wanted to talk about a specific piece that I just love!  Being from Canada, we love to collect pieces that have something British about them so if and when we go back we will have lots of memorabilia. Anyways, last year at the Wimbledon Art Studios Fair (www.wimbledonartstudios.co.uk) we came across this picture:

How cool is this?? And can you GET anymore British than Winston Churchill and the Queen??

Anyways, this piece is made by artist Gavin Mitchell (www.gavinmitchell.net ) He told us that he finds old photos in car boot sales and then “post marks” them with a stamp creating a unique and interesting piece of art.

Here it is “in situ” in my front reception room…..

We love it!!!

Now to find something to put above the desk on the other side of the chimney breast.  The search continues!
